I'm running my first marathon to raise money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation!
I have decided to make a difference in the fight against Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. On October 8, 2017 I will run in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon to help raise money and awareness to help find a cure for these diseases.
I am running in honor of the 1.6 million Americans who have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
This will be my first marathon. I know that it will be difficult, but the cause is important enough for me to give it a try. I say this because I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 1995 and had to have several surgeries in the last few years as a result of complications that were caused by the disease.
I hope my effort makes a difference.
However, I can’t do this alone. Please consider supporting me in this effort by making a tax deductible donation. Your donations will not only motivate me to the finish, but they will help us get closer to the cure.
Remember, no donation is too big or too small. The most important thing is that you make a donation!
Also keep in mind that many companies offer to match employee charitable contributions. Often this can double or triple the impact of your donation.
Thank you in advance,
