Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis is CCFA's largest fundraising event and the nation's only walk dedicated to finding a cure for digestive diseases. Participants raise funds throughout the year to find a cure and come together to celebrate the steps taken when no American has to suffer with digestive diseases and Crohn's or colitis. Danielle is a Loud & Proud Club fundraiser for the 3rd year in a row. She and her team, C&C Rock Stars, have raised over $6200 and counting for the Dallas Take Steps walk. They are definitely Rock Stars! 

Honored Heroes

On a local level, we want to honor all of those who struggle daily with the pain and disruption that come with Crohn’s disease and ulcertaive colitis. Our local honored heroes serve as representatives of all patients who are waging their courageous battles with these chronic diseases, working to increase public awareness and understanding.

The Local Honored Heroes for the 2013 Dallas Take Steps Walk are Leann Well & Corey Garrett.

In 2011, Corey & Leann's family participated in their first Take Steps walk. At the walk, they learned how they can use their struggles and pain to spread awareness and be heard. They felt hopeful. Corey's mom Suzie said, “If I can't cure him, I'll raise all the money I can to help find a cure! I will ask for donations every year, or until there is a cure. Because this is what I CAN do!” In the past two years, their team, Hope is Contagious, has raised over $12,000!
