This May, Nadia and Dennis of UCVlog.com will be walking in the Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis Walk. This is a cause near and dear to both our hearts. After being diagnosed with IBD several years ago, both of us have gone through surgery to remove our colons. We now live with J-Pouches and life is on the upswing.

But others aren't so fortunate. Over 1.4 million American adults and children are affected by Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. We've gone through some tough times so we understand how tough it can get. Many people out there have real problems, and it's only through research that life can be made better for those afflicted with bowel diseases.

Take Steps is the CCFA's national evening walk and celebration and the nation's largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. While many suffer in silence, Take Steps brings together this community in a fun and energetic atmosphere, encouraging them to make noise and be heard.

This cause is very important to us and we appreciate your help as we fight for a cure! The more money we raise, the closer we will be to making life more manageable for patients who live with these diseases every day
