Monmouth and Ocean County, Take Steps to Find a Cure!
The Crohn’s & Colitis Take Steps Walk is one of CCFA’s largest events committed to finding cures for digestive diseases. Our walks offer an incredible day for family, friends and the community to come together in celebration of all their hard work and dedication to our mission.
Our community consists of patients, loved ones, friends and supporters that empower and inspire each other to fight these diseases. Each year we connect with our communities as we fundraise for cures and celebrate our hard work together in supporting our patients.
To date, Take Steps has raised more than $60 million to fund mission-critical research and patient support programs. More than 80 cents of each dollar raised goes directly to funding this mission. Find a walk in your local community and join thousands of others Taking Steps for cures.

MEET OUR HONOREES
My name is Connor Savage. I am 27 years old and was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when I was 13. For the last 14 years I have been on the rollercoaster of trial and error with drug therapies, along with all the side effects that come along with them. I would get excited when I would respond to a treatment, only to be let down when my body eventually stopped responding.
After being hospitalized three times in three months, once in October, November, and again in December, it was once again clear another change was needed. That’s when I was introduced to Entyvio, an IV therapy which I get every five weeks. When I started Entyvio it had only been FDA approved for about a year, which was not very long but at that point I was willing to try anything.
It took 5-6 months for me to really start feeling better but today I feel great! I’m still on Entyvio and getting it every five weeks which is an extremely small price to pay for being symptom free. I want to say thank you to all the doctors and more importantly my family, for helping me through all the bad times and always being there for me.
