Many patients feel they are alone in their struggle with IBD, not knowing how to explain IBD to others. Take Steps EMPOWERS patients and families while offering a safe and welcoming environment to CONNECT and INSPIRE one another. Walk day is filled with music, food, kid’s activities, local entertainment and most importantly, the company of hundreds of people who truly understand the impact of IBD.

THANK YOU to all who participated in the Boston Take Steps walk!

Whether you donated, volunteered, fundraised, or all of the above, we truly appreciate your support! On June 3rd, our walk was attended by more than 1,500 participants and is on the way to our fundraising goal of $345,000. Patients, caregivers, family, friends and supporters first celebrated at a festival at the Boston Common followed by two inspiring laps around the Common.

Is your donation eligible to be matched by your company? Visit our Matching Gifts Portal to find out. Reach out to your donors and ask them to get their donations matched also!

You can continue fundraising through September. The 2018 Boston campaign and website will launch in early October.

Take Steps Honored Heroes represent the Crohn's disease & ulcerative colitis warriors living in our community. They share their story of life with IBD to raise awareness and inspire others to join the fight against digestive diseases. Our 2017 Boston Take Steps Honored Heroes are:

    - Mason Wetmore, Pediatric Honored Hero

"I am excited to serve as this year's honoree not only to raise money for a cure, but to also raise awareness about Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis"

    - Trevor Smith, Adult Honored Hero

"I am grateful to be named an honoree for this year's walk and I am looking forward to sharing more about my story, and meeting new friends in our Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation community. "

  • Volunteer
  • volunteer

Thousands of volunteers have helped the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) work toward our mission to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide a high level of support, education, research, and resources to our IBD community.
