    Lola Simmons HH

I'm Lola! In January of 2015, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease after several months of bad stomach aches and fatigue. I spent the next seven months in and out of the hospital. It took a while to find the right medication to help me get into remission. Eventually, I had to have surgery to remove a portion of my small bowel, ileum, and colon, and I have been in remission since then. I have felt great and am currently receiving Remicade infusions every month.

    Tylisha

Hi, I'm Tylisha Charles. I remember my diagnosis in 2009 like it was yesterday. I’ve tried numerous drugs…levsin, lomotil, entocort, humira, cimzia, dibucaine, prednisone, apriso and MANY more…Many operations…terminal ileum colon resection performed on December 2010, perianal abcess developed and incison and drainage performed 1/13/2011.  Several SETON placements.  I’m currently on remicade infusion every 6 weeks and I’ve had very few flares since being on it. I know as of today, there is no cure for the disease, but your donation will help provide research.  I’m asking you to please get involved.

We look forward to having you join us at the Central Arkansas Take Steps walk on Saturday, May 20, 2017!

  • Volunteer

Thousands of volunteers have helped the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) work toward our mission to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide a high level of support, education, research, and resources to our IBD community.
