Take Steps EMPOWERS patients and families while offering a safe and welcoming environment to CONNECT and INSPIRE one another. Walk day is filled with music, food, kid’s activities, local entertainment and most importantly, the company of hundreds of people who truly understand the impact of IBD.

    Hi! My name is Liv Burkhardt and I am the 2017 Pediatric Honored Hero for Take Steps New Orleans! I was diagnosed in 2014 when I was 10 years old and participated in my first Take Steps walk in 2015. Even though I had to take a break I had a blast and have kept it up ever since.
