Geoffrey Pidano  - Adult Honored Hero

Geoff was diagnosed in 2008 at the age of 25. He has had a rollercoaster of ups and downs managing his disease and balancing his symptoms with everyday life. His journey is inspiring because he refuses to let his disease define him. He stays active, just got married earlier this year, and is focused on raising funds to help find a cure.

Nick Kitsos - Pediatric Honored Hero

Nick was a happy, healthy 9-year-old boy until the summer of 2016 when he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Through his disease journey, Nick has refused quit! He fought hard. Fought to get back to school. Fought to catch up. Fought to have his life back. His motivation to get better became the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Camp Oasis. He wanted to go to Camp and was determined to get there. And he did! It was everything he hoped for and more.

  • Volunteer

Thousands of volunteers have helped the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) work toward our mission to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide a high level of support, education, research, and resources to our IBD community.
