Brooklyn, Take Steps to Find a Cure!
Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is CCFA’s largest fundraising event having touched over 240,000 people and raised nearly $60M to help further the Foundation’s mission.
Our Take Steps walks offer a wonderful day for family, friends and the community to celebrate all of the efforts that have been put forth in raising funds towards our mission. Our walk events are filled with live music, food, kids’ entertainment, educational materials, and, of course, wonderful exposure for our corporate partners. In 2014, more than 70,000 people joined us nationwide, helping us raise $11M.
82 cents of every dollar raised goes towards breakthrough research, public and professional education, and patient support services in communities across the nation.
Register today. Join thousands of others in the fight against digestive diseases.
Meet our 2015 Pediatric Patient Honored Hero, Eitan Goldberg!
Eitan was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in April 2014. "There are many people who are affected by Crohn's, including my father. He was diagnosed when my mother was pregnant with me. Raising money for research and awareness can help people like me, my father and so many others. Maybe a cure is around the corner and Hero kids like me can make the difference for others before Crohn's takes over their lives."

And our 2015 Adult Patient Honored Hero, Victoria Tadross!
Victoria's goal is to help further research on identifying the causes of Crohn's and colitis to more quickly and efficiently treat the diseases. She is proud to be the voice of all current patients and for the patients who have lost their lives to this disease, like her grandmother.

Ask-a-Doc Station at the Walk
Be sure to visit Dr. Bradley Morganstern from Concorde Medical Group at the walk! He will be at the Ask-a-Doc station in our CCFA Mission experience area. Dr. Morganstern obtained his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital. Driven by an interest in inflammatory bowel diseases, Dr. Morganstern then completed an advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, focusing on strategies for diagnosis, optimization of medical therapy, and dietary modification for both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Join our Decal Don Program!
Make a self-donation today of $25 or more and you will be rewarded with a Take Steps window decal or as we'd like to call it, Decal Don. Many patients suffer in silence and it's up to us to make their voices heard.
Help us change that FACT and register today for 2015 Brooklyn Take Steps! You will receive a window decal to place in your car or other publicly visible place after you make a self-donation of $25 or more. Help us raise awareness and take a photo with your "Decal Don" (think Flat Stanley) and share on social media. Don't forget to tag us with #decaldon. Let's show the world your team's commitment to the fight against digestive diseases! Together we will find a cure!
Thanks for coming to our Kickoff at the Brewery!
#BrooklynTakeSteps participants, thanks for bringing your teams out to the Brooklyn Brewery to kickoff the fundraising momentum and community support for our Brooklyn Take Steps walk! We had a fun night of mingling and getting to know other families involved with CCFA and hearing our amazing Honored Heroes, Victoria Tadross and Eitan Goldberg, share their testimonies. Big thanks to The Skip Note for performing, our honorees, CCFA staff, volunteers, and planning committee members. Click here to see photos from the evening!
Matching Gifts: Have you been matched?
Matching-gifts are an easy way to significantly increase the impact of your contributions. Many companies around the country donate funds to match gifts made by their employees to non-profit organizations. A dollar-for-dollar match is common, and some companies will even contribute up to two or three dollars for each dollar an employee gives. Some even match gifts made by retirees and spouses!
Ask your company today if it offers a matching-gift program, and request a matching-gift form. Send us the completed and signed form via mail, email or fax and we will do the rest.
