Brooklyn, Take Steps to Find a Cure!
Thank you for a perfect day in Brooklyn:
We had 46 teams registered, 300+ participants, and have raised over $52,000 in local funds! As many of you know, we fundraise year round for this event and we are on our way to reaching our goal, so please keep sending out your personal page links to family, friends, and colleagues via email or social media. Also, there is still the opportunity to continue fundraising for the individual incentive prizes $1k and over. Personally raise over $1,000 or more, post it on your fundraising page prior to 8AM on Monday, November 1st, and you will receive an email letting you know what you are entitled to. Click here to see photos from the walk and here to see photos from our kickoff at the Brooklyn Brewery!
A very special thank you to our Honored Heroes, Victoria Tadross and Eitan Goldberg, who have been the faces of our 2015 Brooklyn Take Steps walk and CCFA ambassadors spreading the word around the community.

What is Take Steps?
Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is CCFA’s largest fundraising event having touched over 240,000 people and raised nearly $60M to help further the Foundation’s mission.
Our Take Steps walks offer a wonderful day for family, friends and the community to celebrate all of the efforts that have been put forth in raising funds towards our mission. Our walk events are filled with live music, food, kids’ entertainment, educational materials, and, of course, wonderful exposure for our corporate partners. In 2014, more than 70,000 people joined us nationwide, helping us raise $11M.
82 cents of every dollar raised goes towards breakthrough research, public and professional education, and patient support services in communities across the nation.
Register today. Join thousands of others in the fight against digestive diseases.
Meet our 2015 Pediatric Patient Honored Hero, Eitan Goldberg!
Eitan was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in April 2014. "There are many people who are affected by Crohn's, including my father. He was diagnosed when my mother was pregnant with me. Raising money for research and awareness can help people like me, my father and so many others. Maybe a cure is around the corner and Hero kids like me can make the difference for others before Crohn's takes over their lives."

And our 2015 Adult Patient Honored Hero, Victoria Tadross!
Victoria's goal is to help further research on identifying the causes of Crohn's and colitis to more quickly and efficiently treat the diseases. She is proud to be the voice of all current patients and for the patients who have lost their lives to this disease, like her grandmother.

Matching Gifts: Have you been matched?
Matching-gifts are an easy way to significantly increase the impact of your contributions. Many companies around the country donate funds to match gifts made by their employees to non-profit organizations. A dollar-for-dollar match is common, and some companies will even contribute up to two or three dollars for each dollar an employee gives. Some even match gifts made by retirees and spouses!
Ask your company today if it offers a matching-gift program, and request a matching-gift form. Send us the completed and signed form via mail, email or fax and we will do the rest.
