Many patients feel they are alone in their struggle with IBD, not knowing how to explain IBD to others. Take Steps EMPOWERS patients and families while offering a safe and welcoming environment to CONNECT and INSPIRE one another. Walk day is filled with music, food, kid’s activities, local entertainment and most importantly, the company of hundreds of people who truly understand the impact of IBD.

THANK YOU to all who participated in our NYC Take Steps walk!

Whether you donated, volunteered, fundraised, or all of the above, we truly appreciate your support! On May 16th, our walk was attended by more than 750 walkers and has already surpassed our goal by raising more than $440,000!

Patients, caregivers, family, friends and supporters first celebrated at a festival at Pier 16 before walking toward the Brooklyn Bridge. Walkers were then cheered on as they passed through the finish line at City Hall Park.

Is your donation eligible to be matched by your company? Visit our matching gifts portal. Reach out to your donors and ask them to get their donations matched also.

You can continue fundraising, and all fundraising leading up to October 9th will count towards Awards Party rankings. The Awards Party will take place on Thursday, October 26th, so save the date!

Thousands of volunteers have helped the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation work toward our mission to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide a high level of support, education, research, and resources to our IBD community.
