  • Local Heroes

Our local honored heroes understands first-hand how difficult these diseases can be. They want to support patients like themselves because no one should face the challenges and uncertainty of IBD alone. Honored heroes use their story to raise awareness of these diseases, raise funds in support of the Foundation’s mission, and inspire hope to those living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Tony - Youth Honored heroAs sad as it is, Tony is one of the fortunate ones. Yes, a fortunate toddler with Crohn’s Disease… Why would I say that? Tony doesn’t experience the severe pain that most patients do. His only symptom is the blood. Also, he is at the age that he doesn’t know any better! He doesn’t mind going to the hospital because he gets toys each time! When he goes to get lab work he knows to roll up his sleeve. This is his norm. It is much harder on his parents than on him.   Click the link above to read more of Tony's story.

  • Volunteer

Thousands of volunteers have helped the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) work toward our mission to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide a high level of support, education, research, and resources to our IBD community.
