COUNTDOWN TO TAKE STEPS HAS BEGUN:
We only have 2 weeks until WALK DAY!
We are 49% to our $305,000 goal at $150,086
with just over 500 registered walkers
Just think, if each registered walker participated in DECAL DON and made a self-donation of $25, we'd raise an additional $12,500 and then...
if each registered walker brought 1 additional friend (= 500 additional people) and those friends each made a $25 self-donation we'd raise an additional $12,500!!!
OR EVEN MORE EXCITING
if each registered walker brought 1 additional friends (= 500 additional people) and those friends each raised $100 then we'd raise an additional $50,000, we will make goal and that thermometer WILL EXPLODE!
I know all of you will not be satisfied until that thermometer EXPLODES!
SO COME ON LONG ISLAND! WE GOT THIS!!!!

FUNDRAISING TIP/MATCHING GIFTS: Have you been matched?
Matching-gifts are an easy way to significantly increase the impact of your contributions. Many companies around the country donate funds to match gifts made by their employees to non-profit organizations. A dollar-for-dollar match is common, and some companies will even contribute up to two or three dollars for each dollar an employee gives. Some even match gifts made by retirees and spouses!
So what are you waiting for? Ask your company today if it offers a matching-gift program, and request a matching-gift form. Send us the completed and signed form via mail, email or fax and we will do the rest.
