Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis is CCFA's largest fundraising event and the nation's only walk dedicated to finding a cure for digestive diseases. Participants raise funds throughout the year to find a cure and come together to celebrate the steps taken when no American has to suffer with digestive diseases and Crohn's or colitis. A cure is within our reach yet we need you.

All teams that raise a minimum of $2,000 get entrance into the Team Village on Walk Day.  The Team Village is the spot for your team members to meet up and enjoy the day together, including your own tables and chairs.  The Top Healthcare, Corporate and the Team with the most registered participants receive their own tent in addition to access into the Team Village.

Jeremy Schaap is an American sportswriter, television reporter, and author. Schaap is a six-time Emmy Award winner for his work on ESPN’s E:60, SportsCenter, and Outside the Lines.

Honorary Walk Chair

Benjamin Hochman A published author and award-winning journalist, Benjamin Hochman is in his third season as the Nuggets and NBA beat writer for The Denver Post. He previously worked on the staff of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, winners of two Pulitzer Prizes for their Hurricane Katrina coverage. He wrote the Katrina-themed book “Fourth And New Orleans,” published in 2007. A graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism, Hochman has covered numerous major events, including the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals, the BCS championship game and the Beijing Olympics. He also is a co-host of the sports talk show “303’s Company,” weekday nights on 1510 AM. In his free time, Hochman performs stand-up comedy around the Denver area.

Ashley Raykovitz On a local level we want to honor all of those who are dealing with the constant daily struggle that exists with Crohn’s and colitis. Our local honored heroes serve as representatives of all patients who are waging their courageous battles with these chronic diseases, working to increase public awareness and understanding.

The Local Honored Hero for the 2013 Denver Take Steps Walk is Ashley Raykovitz.
