Our Take Steps walks offer a wonderful day for family, friends and the community to celebrate all of the efforts that have been put forth in raising funds towards our mission. Our walk events are filled with live music, food, kids’ entertainment, educational materials, and, of course, wonderful exposure for our corporate partners.
Take Steps for Crohn’s & colitis is a family friendly community walk dedicated to raising awareness and mission-critical funds for cures for digestive diseases. In the past five years alone, we succeeded in bringing together over 100,000 people and raised close to $40 million to help further CCFA’s mission.
80 cents of every dollar raised goes towards breakthrough research, public and professional education, and patient support services in communities across the nation.

As we continue to fundraise in the weeks leading up to Walk day, you may receive donations via check or cash. Please mail these donations into the chapter office and the Walk Manager will post them directly to your fundraising page within one week of receiving them. For cash donations, please convert this into a check - do not mail cash. Please also make sure to include the walker's name on the memo line of the check whom you want the money credited to.

*Post-Walk Fundraising Incentives will be available approximately 21 days following the Walk. Should you qualify for a post-walk incentive, look for an email from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many people do I need on my team?
A: A team is two or more people attending the Walk together. There is no magic number for the perfect team but we encourage you to invite your friends, family and colleagues to fundraise and walk with you.
Q: Where do I park?
A: Parking is available in the parking lot at Bridgeport Elementary School.
Q: If I registered online do I still have
A: Yes! Everyone must check in when they arrive and pick up any walk day fundraising incentives you qualify for.
Q: What if I have donations to bring to the
A: Place all cash, checks and money orders in a walker envelope and write your Team Name on the envelope. Please be sure each team member has their own walker envelope filled out completely.
Q: What should I do if I would like to make a donation at
the walk but I do not have cash or a check?
A: We accept credit card donations onsite.
Q: Are dogs or strollers allowed?
A: Yes. Please be sure to pick up after your dogs.
Q: Will there be restrooms available?

A: The event is rain or shine!

A: Approximately 2 miles.
