Fundraising Tips

Follow these fun tips and watch your fundraising soar!!

Spring Cleaning Garage Sale!

Know all that stuff that's been hanging out in your garage...in your attic...in your basement? Gather it up and ask your friends to do the same. Put it in your front yard and sell, sell, sell! Put up a sign saying the proceeds go to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Hang signs around your city, post on Facebook and Craigslist, and maybe even your local papers. Set a goal for yourself and go for it!

An added fundraising component...ask your local bakery or grocery store to donate items that you can sell (doughnuts, bottles of water, cookies, etc).

 Host a Movie Night!

Pick up a new flick at your local movie store, make some popcorn, grab some soda and invite friends and family over for movie night. Charge an entry fee and have a few items to auction off during an intermission (see if your video store will donate a few DVD's to your cause). All of the items that you need for this night of fun are things that grocery stores could likely donate... just ask!

Cuts for CCFA!

Ask your barber or hairdresser to donate $2.00 of every haircut they complete over a week. Make a sign for their work station letting their customers know what they are going to do for you.

OR

Ask your stylist to co-host a Cuts for CCFA night with you. They open their salon, give you a donation from each service, while you bring in treats (wine, cheese, crackers, etc...all donated of course) and other festive Take Steps inspired items. Invite all of your friends and family, teammates, co-workers and this will be a win-win for both you and your stylist (team fundraiser for you, new clients for them).
