A Weasel on An Easel
-A Tale About Accepting Oneself-
by Taylor Sinett

Taylor Sinett, 13,  is a resident of Sands Point, where she lives with her parents, her younger brother, Kyle, and her pet fish.  Taylor also has a 16 year-old cousin, Casey, who suffers from ulcerative colitis.  Casey has had one of the most arduous journeys, undergoing multiple surgeries and living with an ostomy for a number of years while waiting for the go-ahead for j-pouch surgery.

Taylor has watched her cousin face these challenging circumstances with a smile, humor and a positive attitude like no other. Casey is truly an inspiration and a role-model.

One day, while at sleep away camp, Taylor drew a picture of a "Weasel on an Easel" and named her Fredda. From that drawing came a story about Fredda, a weasel with big dreams, but who kept getting thwarted at every turn.  No matter how many obstacles she faced, Fredda kept on believing in herself.  The story needed illustrations and Taylor realized she had a book in the making.  As it was her Bat Mitzvah year, she wanted to make a difference in the lives of those who suffer, including her cousin.  With some encouragement from a few caring adults, including her parents, she finished the book and published it. To date, Taylor has raised over $1,000 for CCFA through the sale of A Weasel on an Easel.

CCFA is proud to present A Weasel on An Easel, by Taylor Sinett, for purchase only here at this website with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit CCFA.

This book is a great story for children and adults of all ages.  It's about accepting onself for who you are and keeping on with your dreams
no matter what obstacles you face.

When Taylor wrote this book, she had in mind all the people who hear, "it can't be done."  Because of her cousin and others she knows who triumph over adversity, Taylor knows, "It CAN be done."

Isn't Fredda brave?

Taylor's book is for all of the people who have been told they are too short, too hairy, too fat, or just have big teeth!  Taylor says, "You are perfect just the way you are."  EMBRACE YOUR INNER WEASEL!

Haven't we all heard that at some time?
