Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America
Letter from Rick Geswell, CCFA President

This is truly an exciting time at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation! Participants from around the country are heading to Las Vegas to run and walk in Team Challenge, medical experts will be gathering this weekend at our Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Clinical & Research Conference, and the Senate has passed a resolution to make December 1 - 7 Crohn's & Colitis Awareness Week!

We are grateful that Congress has recognized IBD patients and their families, and is showing support for our ongoing search for better treatments and cures.

As our work continues in 2012, one of the ways you can show your support for Crohn's & Colitis Awareness Week is by making a tax-deductible gift to CCFA.
Today begins Crohn's & Colitis Awareness Week

CCFA is proud to announce that the Senate has passed a resolution to make December 1 - 7 Crohn's & Colitis Awareness Week! This is an important step toward recognizing the 1.4 million Americans living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and it commends the dedication of health care professionals and biomedical researchers.

"The passage of this resolution will give hope to the millions of Americans, including a growing number of young children, who struggle with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis that we will continue to focus our attention on these very difficult diseases," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV).

What better way to celebrate than by raising awareness? You can take action by asking your legislators to join the Congressional Caucus in the House. And if you haven't already, be sure to "like" us on Facebook and follow on Twitter for more Awareness Week updates.

Read the results of CCFA's first survey!

Last month, we asked you to share with us your thoughts on CCFA's work through a brief survey. With more than 6,000 responses, your feedback has provided us with important information about how we can improve our communications and how you best benefit from your relationship with CCFA. In addition to our questions, we also invited participants to share their personal experience with Crohn's or colitis.

With the results of this survey to guide us, we hope to provide you with even more helpful resources in the future! Read some of the survey highlights.
