Message from the Executive Director

Jer family on field.jpgFor the 5th year in a row the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation continued the tradition of hosting a flag football tournament at Mile High, home of the Denver Broncos. I feel privileged that we have the opportunity to welcome players and spectators to a stadium that means so much to football fans in the Rocky Mountains. We were able to raise money and spread awareness with both youth and adult tournaments as options. Just as I feel privileged to be part of this large endeavor, I am reminded on a daily basis how lucky I am to serve my community by supporting IBD patients and working together to find a cure. For a chance to be entered in a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card, please take a moment to fill out this survey to give feedback about next year's football event. Thank you!

Volunteer Highlight: Ben Bernier and Naomi Perelgut

Ben and Naomi.jpgWe are excited to welcome back Ben Bernier and Naomi Perelgut to the Team Challenge team as our Napa/Rhode Island coahces. Ben is a patient and has coached 7 Team Challenge teams. When asked what he is most excited for this coming season Ben said, "I am most excited about the camaraderie of the team and sharing my love for running in many of the wonderful places in the metro area!"

Naomi has been invovled with Team Challenge for 7 seasons of which 3 she coached. She is also a patient. We asked Naomi what she is most excited about for the season and she told us,  "A good coach can change a game, a great coach can change a life. TC Denver is a family, my family, and I'm a better person because of everyone.  Besides, how else can I get in shape ...together we will push ourselves outside our comfort zone!"
