May 10th Annual Benefit Luncheon Raises over $195,000 in support of CCFA’s Mission
We are excited to announce our May 10th Annual Benefit Luncheon was a great success. Dr. Scott Plevy, this year's featured medical presenter shared with guests the current state of IBD research and some of the challenges we face as we work towards a cure. Tia Belisle, our patient speaker shared her inspiring story about growing up in eastern Washington as a sick child with Crohn's disease. Despite her ups and downs Tia refused to let Crohn's disease get in the way of her true passion in life, hydroplane racing.
The Luncheon also recognized Chase and Livi Carpenter with the Mike McCready & Ashley O’Connor McCready Award, an honor given to those who have made a significant impact on the Northwest Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis community and the Foundation. In 2012, the Carpenters were instrumental in raising over $150,000 for CCFA via the Microsoft 5K Run/Walk and the company’s Annual Giving Campaign.
CCFA would like to thank all of our sponsors, including, Papé Material Handling, Virginia Mason Medical Center, The Glaser Progress Foundation, Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland and Electroimpact for their support. CCFA also thanks our faithful Table Captains for their support in helping us reach our goals and their guests for their generosity.
Subaru of America Presents CCFA Northwest with $25,000 Grant
We are excited to announce a new $25,000 grant from Subaru of America. The company’s support will directly benefit the Northwest Region’s Camp Oasis summer program and the Foundation’s local research programs. CCFA would like to thank Subaru of America for their commitment to the inflammatory bowel disease community, and Chaplin’s Bellevue Subaru for their support of this funding.
Q: How can I connect with someone else going through similar experiences with Crohn’s or colitis?
