Richmond Take Steps

We are just 4 weeks from the Richmond Take Steps Walk and we want to invite you and your family to join us on Sunday, April 28th at 3:00pm at North Shore Commons
in beautiful Innsbrook

Come and enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment, including a fun Kid Zone with special guest Nutzy the Flying Squirrel. Take Steps is about sharing stories & thoughts, setbacks & triumphs, but most of all Taking Steps together to find a cure.

7 simple steps you can take to raise $500 in the next
4 weeks and help the Richmond community reach
our goal of $65,000:

1: Ask yourself! Start by making a self donation of $25.
Don't forget to set up your personal page and tell your story on the Email everyone you know to support you.

2: Ask three family members to sponsors you for $25 each.

3: Ask two businesses you frequent to donate $25 each.

4: Ask five co-workers to support your efforts for $20 each.

5: Ask your boss for a company contribution of $100.
Check to see if your company participates in a matching gift program – this is a great way to double your money.

6: Ask five people you know from your local club, school or place of worship to donate $10 each.

7: Ask five friends to contribute $20 each.

That’s $500!

Always tell people that their tax deductible donation will be used to provide patient programs, enhance professional education efforts, and propel critical research for a cure. In the past 5 years alone, CCFA has succeeded in bringing together over 100,000 people and raised close to $40 million to help further our mission.

The key is to ask!

Thanks again to our great sponsors:

Team Challenge Virginia Wine Country

Meet Team Challenge's Leading Lady!  Lauren Brunk is ready to CROSS THE FINISH LINE FOR A CURE in Napa!
A four-time Take Steps participant and dedicated CCFA volunteer, Lauren has decided that 2013 is her year to take on the challenge of her first half marathon.  While training with the team for the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon, Lauren is paying it forward through her fundraising efforts.  After being diagnosed with Crohn's disease during college, Lauren underwent surgery (fistulotomy) which, with daily meds, set her on a path to recovery.  Now thankfully in remission, Lauren aspires to train and raise money in honor of those who are unable, and Lauren strives to help in any way she can to find a cure. With her family's support, Lauren has already raised more than $3,400!
Keep up the great work, Lauren.
