Take Steps Hampton Roads
THANK YOU Hampton Roads! We made it through another Take Steps season and are reeling from the excitement and energy from the walk on September 30th. A special thanks goes out to all of those folks that added a special touch to make the day perfect! Thank you to DJ Lady J for keeping the music going all day, thank you to Andrea from A-1 Party Artists for making balloon animals and painting faces, and thank you the Kenna for taking pictures so we can remember the walk for years to come (Like us on Facebook, that’s where the photos will be posted!)
The day was highlighted with three very talented young adults from the Hampton Roads community with IBD. It was truly inspirational to see the strength and positive attitude all three of them have, they are just one reason why we do what we do here at CCFA we are raising funds to find a cure so no other children have to experience what they have been through. A big thank you to Kollin for sharing his story, thank you to Kimberly and her dance team from Hickory High School for warming us up for the walk, and thank you to Shelby for sharing her voice with the National Anthem.
We have currently raised a little over $17,000 and we still need your help to reach $25,000 by the end of the year. Consider sending out one more email and sharing your walk experience, it’s amazing to see how inspirational passion can be. We had over 250 people who joined us on Sunday, September 30. If each person raised just $30.00 more we will exceed our goal of $25,000. We need your help Hampton Roads we can do it! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have I would be happy to help! I can be reached at jbroun@ccfa.org or 646-717-6208.
Richmond we have a lot of great opportunities for education coming up and we hope to see you!

Meet Team Challenge's Dynamic Duo
Team Challenge coach Kelly Andrews and participant Emily Andrews are ready to ROCK THE STRIP in Las Vegas. This enthusiastic, excited mother-daughter duo proves that whether it's training for a half marathon or fundraising for a cure, we're all in this together. Fundraising is a family affair for the Andrews ladies--with mom's support, Emily has already raised more than $1,000. Our youngest Team Challenge participant this season, Emily is full of creative ideas, and is even hosting a fundraiser with a local tattoo shop. Keep up the great work, Kelly and Emily!
