Seeking Mentors The
Chapter is excited to be launching a new initiative called the Power of Two Program. This is a support program where
volunteers provide adults and supervised children with Crohn’s disease
or ulcerative colitis, parents of children with IBD, and other family
members with one-on-one phone or email support. If you are interested in serving as a
mentor and would like more information, please contact Caneka McNeil,
Mid-Atlantic Regional Education & Support Manager, at cmcneil@ccfa.org.
Education
In March, CCFA hosted a teleconference/webcast on transitioning to adult IBD care. If you missed the live program or want to listen again, an archive is now available! The archive features an extended Q&A with the speakers as well as program materials you can download. Participating Nurses are also eligible to receive continuing education credit.
Staff Update
The Chapter is pleased to announce that
we have a new addition to the Team! Amanda Nover has joined us as a Team
Challenge Endurance Manager. Amanda will be concentrating her time and
efforts on building a stronger Team Challenge program in Virginia.
Amanda
comes to CCFA from Event 360 where she worked as a Field Coordinator
for the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure. Amanda is also a
graduate of The George Washington University where she recently
completed her Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in
Nonprofit Management.
Help us welcome Amanda as we are thrilled to have
Amanda join our team!
