Special Event: Piti Theatre Company’s Jonathan Mirin Returns to Boston with 28 FEET
“Mirin manages to find comedy in his struggle as he bounces between 20 different characters during this celebrated hour-long production.” – Boston Magazine
Following tour stops in New York City, Helsinki, Atlanta, and around New England, Jonathan Mirin’s comedic autobiographical solo performance about growing up with Crohn’s disease returns to Boston Playwrights’ Theatre for one night only, Friday May 11th. Inspired by his two-decade battle with the disease, the show traces Mirin’s wild ride with original songs, puppetry, clowning, stand-up comedy, 20 characters and a high-energy, physical performance style. The title 28 FEET comes from the average length of the digestive tract. “Mirin is a performer with energy to burn.” – nytheatre.com.
The show will be followed by a talk-back with Jonathan and Dede Cummings, Crohn’s patient and co-author of Living with Crohn’s and Colitis. ½ of all book sales will go to benefit the CCFA.
DETAILS:
Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Ave. Friday, May 11th 7:30 pm
Tickets: $15 regular admission, $10 for advance purchase tickets by CCFA members with promo code: CCFA
Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 1-866-811-4111 and will go on sale by April 18th. Advance purchase is recommended as this is an intimate performance space.
