And he's giving to Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis! 15% of DVD sales are donated to CCFA, so if you missed its run in Southern California last year, want to watch it over and over again, or are thinking of giving as a gift, now is the perfect time. Channeling the lighter side of Crohn's disease, Ben's story is empowering and delightful! Why not take ownership of it all through laughter? With a comedian's heart and a patient's behind, Pain in the Butt is a touching tale about a touchy tail. Pain in the Butt. It's funny on the insides. Shop here.
Why I Walk Campaign. Join the Movement.
Tell us why you walk for Take Steps. Do you walk because you are battling this disease? Do you support a parent, child or sibling? Do you have an incredible co-worker or friend who motivates you daily? Inspire others today by sharing your story and let them know they are not alone. One of the most important characteristics of Take Steps is building a community, so that isolation is not a side-effect of these diseases. Send your letters, pictures or video to email@example.com to be featured on our website and newsletters.
Fifth Annual Women of Distinction Luncheon Planning Underway
Honorees Chosen for 2012 Event
Plans are underway for the 5th Annual Women of Distinction Luncheon, to be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The Luncheon is being co-chaired by Caryl Golden, Cathy Greenly and Ronda Lippman. This year’s honorees are Jamie Lee Curtis, Author, Actress and Activist; Barbara Herman, Philanthropist; and Pam Pierce, Co-founder and Director Emeritus of the CineStory Foundation.
“We are proud to have such a distinguished group of honorees as part of this year’s event,” said Cathy Greenly. “They join a very elite group of women who we have been proud to recognize each year as Women of Distinction. We also are working with an amazing committee that is dedicated to making this year’s luncheon a spectacular event.”
“This is a milestone year for our Luncheon,” said Caryl Golden. Our past 4 fashion show presenters have been Carolina Herrera, Oscar de La Renta, Chloe and Randolph Duke. This year we are thrilled to have the amazing Badgley Mischka joining this illustrious group.
“Our Ultimate Raffle will feature fabulous designer jewelry and handbags from many of the stores on Rodeo Drive,” said Ronda Lippman. “We want to thank all of our donors for their amazing items and David Yurman for partnering with us again this year by opening up their store for a special event with the proceeds benefiting CCFA.”
Invitations will be in the mail in the next few weeks. We encourage everyone to make their reservations early....as we sold out last year. For further information contact: Paddy Harrigan at (310) 478-4500
We are pleased to announce that the Dannon Company has agreed to be the Invitation Sponsor for the WOD Luncheon.

CCFA Online Community Interactive Features
The CCFA Online Community offers many unique features that help patients and caregivers connect with each other and find support for managing their disease. In addition to the discussion forums and personal stories, did you know that the Community site also offers interactive learning opportunities? The IBD Knowledge Navigator allows users to narrow down their search for information on Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis and provides links to related articles and resources. The Expert Q&A Library allows users to submit their own questions to our panel of IBD experts and search for previously answered questions. Each month we select new questions to be answered by the panel and post them to this searchable library. Check out these interactive features today!
