Pathways to Cures: Game-changing IBD Research
If you haven’t heard about the exciting research currently taking place, take a few minutes to learn more!
Within the first year, The CCFA Genetics Initiative had already discovered at least two genetic pathways that are targetable by existing chemicals/drugs - one of which has already proven to be safe in humans. With continued investment into this research and advancement to clinical trials, The CCFA Genetics Initiative is on the cutting edge of changing lives of IBD patients everywhere.
Check out the video here: http://www.ccfa.org/research/current-research-studies/ibd-genetics-video.html.

Want to Know How to Make a Donation to CCFA?
We frequently receive calls wanting to know how to make donations to CCFA here’s some helpful information:
Tributes, Memorials and Special Occasion Gifts
Making a donation in honor of someone (in recognition of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.), or in memory of a loved one, is a meaningful way of helping CCFA in our quest to find a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. A tribute gift to the Foundation is a compassionate gesture that will make a difference in the lives of people with IBD. Donations may be made online, via phone, or by mailing in a donation form.
Donors can make online tributes two ways:
- Donate online and send a paper card with a personalized message
- Donate online and send an eCard to any email address in the world
Both donation options can be found on online.ccfa.org/site/PageNavigator/Honor_Memorials.
To get the Tribute Memorial Donation Form, click here.
The form can be mailed directly to the chapter office:CCFA, 4700 Rockside Road, Suite 425, Independence, OH 44131.
Or you can always donate by calling the office, 216.524.7700.
Special Occasion Gifts
Couples today are choosing to make a donation to their favorite charitable organization rather than provide traditional party favors. The same applies for other celebratory events including anniversaries and bar/bat mitzvahs.
To honor family and friends, in lieu of favors, donors can make their celebration even more special by helping the more than 1.4 million Americans who suffer from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. In return for this gift, The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation offers a certificate for display at the wedding or special event.
Additionally, guests of a special event—or special event hosts who would like their guests to make a donation in lieu of a gift—should be directed to CCFA’s Tribute/Memorial program at online.ccfa.org/site/PageNavigator/Honor_Memorials.
