2014 South Texas Nursing Perspectives: Management of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America South Texas Chapter presents Nursing Perspectives: Management of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases on Monday, June 9, 7-8:30pm. Check-in begins at 6:30pm.

 This CNE activity is targeted to nurses involved in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The activity features an expert presentation by Julie Weatherly, RN, MSN, ANP-C and an interactive question-and-answer session. 

 At the program, you’ll learn more about:

  • Genetics and causation for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Current and emerging IBD therapies
  • Differences between "top-down" and "bottom-up" treatment approaches
  • Strategies to improve IBD treatment adherence
  • Lifestyle factors affecting disease course

This free educational activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses involved in the care of patients with IBD. Registered nurses who complete all requirements will be eligible for 1.5 nursing continuing education contact hours.

This activity is co-provided by the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America in collaboration with Postgraduate Institute for Medicine.
