Amanda Ramer-Tait, Ph.D.

University of Nebraska - Lincoln Researcher

Research Program Topic includes:

Dr. Amanda Ramer-Tait is an assistant professor of gastrointestinal biology in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Her research interests center on the dynamic interactions between the immune system and intestinal microbes.  Current projects in Dr. Ramer-Tait’s laboratory are aimed at understanding how host-microbial interactions in the gastrointestinal tract contribute to chronic, inflammatory diseases, including Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis.  Dr. Ramer-Tait is a also a member of the UNL Gut Function Initiative, an interdisciplinary team of researchers focused on understanding the relationships among the gut ecosystem, dietary interventions, and human health.
