The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation's Northwest Chapter i
nvites you to join us for a FREE educational event featuring informational presentations and interactive question-and-answer sessions to empower you to take an active role in managing Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. 

When: Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 6:00 - 8:00 PM program (check in opens at 5:30 PM)

Who: Featuring local healthcare providers including Stacy Tong, MD (Trios Health Gastroenterology)

Where: Richland Public Library, Gallery (955 Northgate, Richland, WA 99352) 

 Program content has been prepared for patients, family members, and caregivers of patients living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, although health care professionals are also invited to attend. This program may be beneficial to health care professionals who are looking to learn more about inflammatory bowel disease. This program is not accredited for continuing education.

Registration is free. Pre-registration will close on Monday, March 24, but registration will be available at the event.  

Program topics include:

  • Similarities and differences between Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Risks and benefits of medication, surgery, and integrative treatments in IBD
  • Impact of treatment adherence on disease management and quality of life
  • Talking with your health care team about your treatment plan
  • Question-and-answer session
