Keynote Speaker: Carrie Johnson
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Carrie always lived a very active lifestyle. As a child she participated in gymnastics, swimming, soccer, diving and Jr. Lifeguards. Later, in high school, she became involved in sprint kayaking . At 19, during her first year of undergraduate work at UCSD and her first year of senior level kayak training she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Carrie was worried about how the disease would affect her life, but was able to go back to training and qualified for the Olympic Team the next year.

Education Day features workshops for adult patients, pediatric patients, and loved ones/caregivers. Cost is $5 for CCFA members and $10 for the general public.
